IELTS Reading-এর True, False, Not Given (TFNG) প্রশ্নে Grammar-এর চেয়ে Evidence খুঁজে পাওয়া বেশি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। অনেকেই বাইরে থেকে নিজের জানা তথ্য ব্যবহার করেন বা “Not Given” মানে “False” ধরে নেন। এই গাইডে তিনটি Original Passage, ১৫টি প্রশ্ন এবং প্রতিটির ব্যাখ্যা আছে।
IELTS Reading TFNG-এ TRUE মানে বক্তব্য Passage-এর তথ্যের সঙ্গে মেলে; FALSE মানে Passage বক্তব্যের বিপরীত তথ্য দিয়েছে; NOT GIVEN মানে Passage থেকে বক্তব্যটি নিশ্চিত বা অস্বীকার করা যাচ্ছে না। নিজের সাধারণ জ্ঞান নয়, নির্দিষ্ট Passage Evidence দিয়েই উত্তর বেছে নিতে হবে।
TRUE, FALSE, NOT GIVEN — মাত্র তিনটি সহজ নিয়ম

Passage: The centre opens at 8 a.m. Question: The centre opens before 9 a.m. → TRUE
“8 a.m.” এবং “before 9 a.m.” একই তথ্য দেয়।
Paraphrase, Contradiction ও Missing Information
Passage: Visitors may enter without paying. Question: Admission is free. → TRUE
“without paying” হলো “free”-এর Paraphrase।
Passage: The garden is closed on Fridays. Question: The garden is open every Friday. → FALSE
দুটি বাক্য বিপরীত তথ্য দিয়েছে।
Passage: The garden attracts many visitors. Question: Most visitors are over 40. → NOT GIVEN
Visitors-এর বয়স Passage-এ নেই।

Passage B — Urban Trees
A university team studied the temperatures of two streets over four summer weeks. One street had tall trees on both sides, while the other had very little shade. On most afternoons, the shaded street was cooler near the ground. The researchers also asked 120 pedestrians how comfortable they felt. Many participants preferred walking on the shaded street. The study did not measure traffic noise, and it did not investigate whether the trees changed property prices.

- নির্দিষ্ট সংখ্যা ১৮ বনাম ২০ পরিবর্তন না দেখা।
- একটি তথ্য Passage-এ না থাকলেও আন্দাজে FALSE দেওয়া।
ভালো পদ্ধতি: প্রতিটি Statement-এর নিচে Passage-এর কোন Sentence Evidence দিচ্ছে তা লিখে রাখুন। Evidence না পাওয়া গেলে NOT GIVEN বিবেচনা করুন।
